My fish is lying down at the bottom of the tank. Few days ago I changed its water and I didn't changed the full water I change it till the level of the fish. After some days the fish is not taking food .its been 2 days it hasn't eaten anything. It come up and breath and go and sit at the bottom and I saw bubbles from its mouth. From yesterday it started to lay down by the side. When someone come near the tank it swims. After that it lay down. It is breathing and moving it's fins. I don't know what to do. i don't want my fish to die. If it die my parents will say I killed it because I changed its water it had no problem before I change the water 😢Can you please help 😢.

My partner has looked after flowerhorn fish and he feeds them live fresh river prawns . It is extremely important you don't buy frozen or feed them dead prawns they must be fresh he keeps the prawns in water and feeds them and then feeds the flowerhorn one a day with other food. They get exercise chasing them and they love river prawns it's part of their natural diet in Thailand. Also they recognise their owners and they love to play with you my boyfriend runs his fingers outside of the tank side to side and they follow him and he even strokes them but he knows what he is doing and yes they stress out easy so watch for signs of that there are many things that can cause that noise water quality etc etc I am not sure what medicine he uses but I can tell you one flowerhorn fish he is currently healing had a large perfect circle blood red thing at the front of his head in just 5 days he looks absolutely amazing and river prawns helped with that as well as the starving him for 2 days and just giving him the medicine sorry don't know what it is it's written in Thai but he is the fish whisperer he loves all his fish so much he runs a business doing this

if washing sponge filters in tap water doesnt destroy the bacteria or cycle and has been proven to be ok then theres no reason why you wouldnt be able to rinse ceramic rings under tap water too.
